as sun drenched clouds drape overhead
my morning greets me with a smile
giving me, that come hither look
saying, “please, won’t you stay a while”
do join me in this beautiful day
partaking in my warm embrace
if you give me, but a chance
thoughts of winter, I shall erase
look over there, yonder way
is that not, flowers in bloom
bursting forth from the ground
in virile attempt to spite the gloom.
delicate petals casting silhouettes
amid the florescence of beaming rays
inspiring hope after the struggle
that Jack Frost’s grasp, has lost its sway.
